Parents and Babies 0-9 Months
Our Baby Chat program is offered to parents and their babies 0-9 months. Bringing home a baby for the very first time can be overwhelming! That is why it is so important to get out and socialize with other parents who are experiencing some of the same things you are. Babies love to socialize too! We provide lots of fun activities–guest speakers on a variety of topics, rhymes and songs, and we celebrate developmental milestones. This program is offered in the fall and spring. Pre-registration required. Dads are welcome!

Breast Pump Rental
The Valley Family Resource Centre has two commercial grade breast pumps that can be rented out on a monthly basis for just $30.
Funding: One pump was provided through the Hotel Dieu, Perth-Andover as a result of the fundraising efforts made by the Carleton County Toy Run. The other pump was purchased through a Wellness Grant, province of New Brunswick.
The funds collected go toward purchasing supplies to use with the pumps.
Infant CPR Kits
Thanks to the sponsorship of the Northern Carleton Community Foundation, Infant CPR Kits have been made available to the Valley Family Resource Centre for families to borrow. These kits are a great educational tool for parents. You can watch the instructional DVD in the comfort of your own home and practice on the mini-manikin. Kits can be borrowed for a two-week period.
